Seven Years of Better Than Average

Seven years ago, Better Than Average started the way most meaningful things do – small, determined, and carried by hand. What began with a bucket of tutoring supplies and a borrowed daycare has grown into a community of students, families, and educators who believed that every child deserves more than average.

We’ve spent these years showing up for the students who walked in unsure of themselves. Watching them leave a session standing a little taller. Believing in the kids other places gave up on. That’s the work – and it’s the only measure of success that’s ever mattered to us.

None of it happens without the families who trusted us with their students, the tutors who show up every day, and a community that continues to root for what we’re building. Seven years in, we’re more grateful than ever – and we’re just getting started.
