Our Tutoring Services and Approach

We provide comprehensive academic support across all core educational disciplines. This includes Reading, Writing, English Tutoring, and comprehensive Math Tutoring (from foundational arithmetic to advanced calculus). We also provide robust support for Science, History, and general study skills to ensure your student is well-rounded and confident in the classroom. Our team supports learners across all major academic milestones, starting as early as Pre-K and continuing through 12th grade. For our youngest learners, students are welcome to begin as soon as they can clearly articulate themselves and independently use the restroom. We also provide targeted academic support for select adult learners and college students. (Note: All students must be able to work independently in a structured learning environment).
Logistics, Formats, and Locations
Yes! We offer both formats, and both deliver the exact same level of instructional quality, curriculum support, and structure. Our in-person sessions are held at our premier center in Montgomery, AL (located in Executive Business Park near Eastern Blvd and Vaughn Rd). This central location allows us to easily serve families looking for a tutor in Montgomery, Prattville, Wetumpka, Millbrook, and Pike Road.
For families outside of the River Region, or those who simply prefer the convenience of learning from home, our highly interactive online tutoring platform connects your student with our certified educators from anywhere.
We operate with convenient after-school and weekend hours to accommodate demanding family schedules:
- Monday – Friday: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Note: Additional programming such as summer camps, workshops, and academic intensives may operate on separate schedules).
Getting Started & The Diagnostic Process
Getting started at BTA is a simple, highly transparent four-step process:
- Schedule a diagnostic assessment.
- Attend your personalized plan review (prescription meeting) with our team.
- Select your tutoring plan and weekly schedule.
- Begin sessions and track measurable progress!
The diagnostic assessment is the foundation of every student’s success plan. Rather than guessing what a student needs, we deeply evaluate their reading comprehension, writing/language skills, and math proficiency. Taking between one and three hours, this assessment allows us to identify specific skill gaps and build a completely customized learning plan.
We know that when your child needs help, time is of the essence. Students can typically begin their customized tutoring sessions within 1 to 2 business days after completing their assessment and enrollment process.
Because every student’s academic journey is different, tuition plans are highly customized based on the student’s needs and the recommended hours per month. All of our packages are designed to maximize results, and discounted rates are built directly into various plan options. Detailed pricing is provided directly to families during the prescription meeting. All sessions are prepaid securely online prior to attendance.

Specialized Programs & Test Prep
Yes! We provide robust, comprehensive ACT Prep covering the English, Reading, Math, and Science sections. Because the ACT is crucial for college admissions and securing high-dollar scholarships, we highly recommend students begin their prep well in advance of their test dates.
We offer a range of specialized programs throughout the year. We host ACAP Workshops to help elementary and middle school students confidently prepare for state assessments. We also host engaging, full-day academic Summer Camps designed to prevent learning loss, reinforce core reading and math skills, and ensure students walk into the fall semester fully prepared.
