In this session, we will cover Comprehension constructs that will be tested on the ACAP this spring.

    • ACSS 23: Identify and use text features in informational passages to locate information.
    • ACSS 24: Identify the text structures within literary and informational texts.

 

What you’ll learn

  • Explain how text features support details in the text.
  • Explain how illustrations contribute to the meaning in a story.
  • Interpret text features used in written and digital formats.
  • Explain how the structures, including comparison and contrast, sequence of events, problem and solution, and cause and effect, contribute to the meaning of the text, using textual evidence.

Homework

Students will bring home a packet of resources that align with the focuses of the workshop session. Additionally, current BTA Tutoring clients will be able to find supplemental practice online in our software.

Cancellation Policy
